Posted in General at 5:15 pm by Dawn Busby

Hi All
met up with some friends this morning and they told me about the site and the June, 06 reunion. I’m still in touch with Jackie Bouchard, Anna Kay and Kathy Prengle so I can pass the word on to them….

Welcome Dawn! Great to see you!

Our winter seemed to be only one day long. Now I can get behind that!

I look forward to seem those names added to our found list. Make sure they come on in here!

    Hi Dawn
Remember when we were in tap and ballet together in 5th grade?

This may be fun, I would like to attend and I am sure that Dawn and I can convince Anna or Kathy to join in as well. Although Kathy no longer resides in WPG. so timing may be an issue.

    Hi Dawn.

I too remember “Family” class and always loved the teacher. What have you been up to?
    great to hear from you

    Hi Helen
It’s so good to see your name added to the list. John and I were just talking last night about people we would like to see again, and you were one of them. So how have you been doing? Have you kept in touch with anyone from DMCI? The reunion sould be a blast!
    talk to you soon Tracy

Hey Tracy, it’s great to hear from you! I’m doing fine. Keeping very busy with husband, 2 kids, job…you know how it is.
I dug out the old ‘81 yearbook last week and was thinking about how much fun it would be to see everyone from DMCI again too. I haven’t seen some of our fellow classmates since the 10th reunion for the class of ‘81! You and John were at that, right?
I still keep in touch with Susan Groumoutis, Marlene Goomansingh, Vicky Ortiz, Wendy Parker and Debbie Lenhardt. There are so many familiar names on the list. Just looking at them brings back memories from as far back as Principal Sparling days.

Hi Maria, do you remember going to summer camp together when we were in grade 5 or 6?

Yes I Sure do. I have a picture of us in your yard with Cheryl Zapotochny wearing pj’s with flowers in our hair….grade 5 I think? I also remember how we all went through a “hamster craze”. How is your sister Amy doing?

    Hi Helen,
I know what you meen about keeping busy. We have 3 kids, Tamara 15, Brendon 13, and Wes is 10. They all go to different schools. Ron said he used to see you at the pool (kids swimming lessons I guess) but not in a while.
I think we were at the 10th reunion. I remember everyone looking good, like they just got out of High school. I’m sure after 25 years there may be some people we won’t recognize.

    Hi Lily,
It was sure nice talking to you last Saturday, what a surprize! I’ve been making lots of phone calls, still have some to make, but the list is growing slowly but surely.
Are you still planning a night out at the Palomeno club? Let me know, you said you might post it on the web.

    Hello Tracy,

Thanks for calling to let me know about the reunion. It will be wonderful to see everyone after 25 years, I can’t believe it’s been 25 years already. Keep me posted on the plans and let me know if I can assist in any way. I’ll try to hook up with Lori Owens and will let Steve know.
    Talk to you soon,

    Suzanne Pazdor

    Hi Suzanne,
I can’t believe it has been 25 years either. Time flies when you’re having fun. Please pass on the web site to any DMCI grads your still in touch with. I already talked to Steve, and he said he’ll spread the word. We should get together before the reunion! Say hi to Andy!
    seeyou soon, Tracy

    Hi Suzanne and Tracy

Been trying to call you Suzanne. I work most evenings so it’s hard for me to call Winnipeg with the time difference.. It still going to be at the Palomeno club on the 18th of Feb. after 8pm. Spending the day with my sister and then to the bar that night. I’ll be in Winnipeg for a week and it would be great to see every one again. Everyone is welcome to come. The more people come out the more fun we could have.

I was reflecting back to all the fun we used to have at socials, school dances, etc. I can’t beleive all the drinking and driving we did back then.If my kids were like we were I’d tan their hides. Where were our parents? Do you remember how loaded Mike K got at Tracey’s house.I thought he was going to die .I wanted to take him to the hospital and everybody said F-OFF Beal , he’ll be fine.I was also thinking back to my cousins wedding social at the Northland Copa.I can’t remember much, I was so wasted that night.I do remember waltzing with Mike B and driving home down Main St.I was surprised that everyone was passing me until I looked at my speedometer and saw that I was doing 10 miles per hour.Anyway,I’m glad we all survived those crazy days.Anyone have any more of those memories to share. It’s fun to read your stories that jog the memory. What fun we had.

    Hi Ken,
Are you talking about the time Mike passed out ? Was there make-up involved ? We sure did have some good times.
By the way the Nickleback concert was awesome. Next time you’re in town, you should check out the new arena ( MTS center ) its great.
    talk to you soon Tracy

    Hi Maria,
You have amazing memory AND a great filing system! I can’t believe you remember my sister’s name after all these years. Amy is doing great. She’s married with 2 kids and has been living in Vancouver for many, many years now. I don’t remember that picture you have of me, you and Cheryl from over 30 years ago, but I do remember the hamster phase. I had a pair of them and they multiplied (much to my Mom’s dismay!). One time, one of them escaped and was missing for weeks. We finally found it in a cosy nest inside a storage box of fabric. What a mess! This is why my kids will probably never have anything other than goldfish as pets! Thanks for sharing these memories. Hope you will make it to the reunion.
