We need a new champion.
First of all, some history. At the end of last week, I was finally offered the school for the 21st of October. I thought about it over a couple of hours, and finally called back to decline. It just wasn’t enough time to get it all together. I had to give answer that day to have time to get it through the trustee meeting for approval. Slightly less than a month is too short notice to work out the various other services involved, like music folks etc. I told them I would need to get back to them with a new date. (That’s assuming we continue with that arrangement).
So, here we are today. The title of this post is “We need a new champion”. I’m going to bow out from heading up this process. I’ve given it a decent effort, but at this point, a variety of factors are kind of forcing me to turn it over to someone else. Some reasons are personal, like things I have going on in my life that need my attention, and some are logistic. It’s rather hard for me to get to the city often enough to make arrangements for everything.
If someone wants to take this on, feel free to declare your intentions here. Or you can contact me privately if you prefer. I personally recommend it be someone who lives in the city. I will be happy to assist by offering the resources I developed on this site, which includes posting any information on the permanent pages you need, and adjusting the order forms so that ticket orders are sent to you (note I have an automated paypal option for creditcards, and if you have a paypal account, this can also be set to use yours). I will also pass on any information I have to the new champion including contacts etc.
Good luck to whoever takes this on! I’ll certainly be there, and I’ll even pitch in that night.

Hi Corey…I have been out of the loop last couple of months because I moved into a new home so I am sorry if I haven’t been in touch. Why don’t we take that date of oct 21 and make it like a school dance in the gym. We could get some coldcuts and cheese etc like a social and I could find us a music man in a short time. If we leave it longer, then we get into Christmas. I think that everyone just wants to see each other again and October seems to be the best month. I cannot be your new champion but I will do whatever I can?? Come on….let’s take that date and have a school dance?? Let me know…if you want to call me…697-3172 I don’t get to my email very often. Unfortunately, when I was finally offered the October date, I was given only a few hours to decide whether or not to take it. This is because of when school board trustee meetings are held, and the time they need to shuffle paperwork etc. In other words, we’ve passed the deadline to acquire a date in October for use of the school.
If a date could be acquired in November, that’s certainly possible. I have no idea on this, and really need someone else to take up that task.

I can’t believe. There are this many names listed on the side. I found out from Toni Batista to long on from work. We should all take some effort to find 10 people. To expand the informational e-mail out. To be honest I loged on so long ago I have forgotten the pass word. I will try to locate a few. I know I can get a few by hunting them down.
