Hello, Everyone!
This message finds me in Toronto where I’ve been living happy and well since 1993. Between 1981 and 1984, you would have found me in Vancouver where I studied at Simon Fraser University before returning to Winnipeg to complete an undergraduate degree at the University of Winnipeg. It was during those years that I developed some of my best friendships which continue to this day. In fact, I was visiting friends in Winnipeg a few months and yes, I did drive past the ole high school. Its surprising how some things remain the same while others change.
With the exception of a few individuals, I can’t recall specific people from my graduating class. In fact, if memory serves me correct, I didn’t attend the graduation ceremony but did join the rest of you on the Paddlewheel Queen to celebrate. I can still recall the outfit I wore but that is another story for another time!
Wishing you well.

The efforts everyone is making to find people is slowly, but surely paying off. We’ve found over 40 people now. If we can keep this pace up, we’ll have a mighty decent turn out. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has made a phone call, or sent an email, or has done some googling. The list is growing!

Randy Dutiaume
Seems one of our alumni has gotten to be quite a curler. It looks like him, but I haven’t seen him since 1981. Can someone confirm if this is our Randy?

We have a lot of people to find. Since I’m from 1981, I’ve made a full list of everyone from that year. I made it by referring to my yearbook, and by the program from graduation. I hope everyone will cruise the list and see if there are some people they can try to find. If you want to pick the easiest ones, go for the men with unusual surnames. You’ll likely find them or a close relative. If you want to go for the hard ones, look for women with common surnames.
You can view the list by clicking Missing Daniel Alumni on the right.
If you aren’t from 1981, and would like to see your class as well, please email your class list. (yes, that means typing!) I’ll integrate it into my database.
Helpful links to find people.
411.ca - you can search for people across Canada.
google.ca - yes, you’d be surprised what typing a person’s full name in quotes might turn up. For instance, I was apparently in jail for 9 years in BC for a crime I was ultimately acquitted for! Maybe you need to be careful with what google tells ya!
If someone has other link suggestions, let me know, and I’ll add them here.

I accidentally hit enter twice after I typed Neal’s name. I’m trying to remember if Neal Dow was in our graduating class. If he was the last time I heard anything about him was that he was living in Gimli, Manitoba. I know this because of our local paper called the Interlake Spectator. His name was mentioned in one of their articles. Corey, if you want to email me my address is pamelafiset@hotmail.com. That way you don’t have to go through classmates.com as I do not have a gold membership with them. If you want to give my address out to our fellow grads you may just let them know to put the name I knew them by so I can add them to by contact list. On hotmail when you first get an email from somebody that has hever sent you one before it goes to your junk mail but I check my junk mail folder every day. Thanks and I am thinking about going to the reunion next year.

We’ve added a list on the right that will show everyone we’ve found from the class of 81 (or neighbouring years). These are people that have signed up here, or have otherwise contacted someone on the reunion committee.
It’s a start.
Help us find more!

Rodney Hunchak, and I (Corey Robinson) have separately lived with twin sisters who did not attend Daniel McIntyre. They were born in Oxford, England, moved to the Toronto area as infants, and moved to Pinawa as teenagers.
One of the twins lived in several cities, and for several years she lived up north in Inuvik. This is where Rodney Hunchak found her and they shared a home for a while. The other twin lived in a few cities, but ended up in Winnipeg where we also shared a home.
One day when the twins were talking long distance on the phone to each other, they found their roommates knew one other from high school. Call it a small world. Rodney and I had the chance to see each other at the first of the twins wedding. No, not to Rodney, instead to some other lucky fellow. Rodney was good enough to fly all the way from Inuvik to emcee her wedding. I was little luckier however, as I got to marry and have children with the twin I was living with.
Rodney, if you find this website, say hello!
