How to Register

Registration is required in order to post articles of your own. You can now add comments to article posts without registering.

To register with this site, start with clicking Register (located under Meta on the right). Fill in your desired username and email address, and a temporary password will be emailed to you. **Your email account will never be visible to anyone, and it we won’t spam it.

That’s it, you’re in! But if you want to customize your info a little, read on.

After you log in, you’ll notice a “Users” button at the top. Go ahead and click on that to customize your info. This is where you can change your password to your own personal preference, and add details about yourself.

Something we recommend you do is customize your Nickname. This can be different from your username you log in with. Whatever it says in your nickname spot is what others will see when you post an entry. What we recommend you do is put your real name or nickname, and then the year you graduated. It should end up looking something like “Leslie Lestudent (81)“. This will help everyone know *it’s you*. And if you changed your name over the years, be sure and use your high school name so we know who you are. (I bet you already knew that).

You’ll also see fields for ICQ, AIM etc. It’s obvious what to do there. If you want others to be able to contact you easily, this will help. You can fill your profile out too, where you can describe in your own words anything you’d like others to know. If you’re really keen on finding someone, maybe you should mention it here.

At the bottom is where you can change your password.

Another option button you’ll see at the top when you log in is “Headshot”. This is where you can upload a picture of yourself that will show up beside your article posts. If you want your high school photo in there, just ask, and we can scan and provide it. Otherwise, put whatever you want everyone to see.

That’s pretty much it! Have fun!
